Similar to Stephen King, who's dabbled in politics of late, and similar to Norman Mailer, who dabbled in almost anything you care to name, New York Times best-selling author Steve Berry is the kind of writer who can't help expand his horizons beyond the word processor.

Except he doesn't just dabble, he goes all out. The author of a passel of historic thriller novels, such as The Templar Legacy, The Romanov Prophecy and, most recently The Columbus Affair, the 2012 Preservation Week National Spokesman also raises funds for historic preservation causes throughout the nation.

Berry will be in Salt Lake City for two engagements, May 20 and 21. The first is a reading and signing of his most recent book at the Jewish Community Center. The second is a writers' workshop at Utah Heritage Foundation's Memorial House in Memory Grove.
