Shows in Utah tonight:

Margot & The Nuclear So and So'sSpotlight show • Richard Edwards, founder and frontman of Margot & The Nuclear So and So's, was skeptical about funding the group's fourth album, "Rot Gut, Domestic," through PledgeMusic. "I had seen a lot of Kickstarter campaigns that rubbed me the wrong way," he said in a phone interview. "It seemed to be a little too beggy. Some seemed lazy, like they didn't put much thought into it." But he relented, and the album, as a digital download, was released early via PledgeMusic in March. The support from the fans is extraordinary considering the band began as a chamber-pop ensemble but is now a full-bodied rock 'n' roll band. "Maybe people dropped out because our calmer music," Edwards said about fans and ex-fans. "I just wanted to play louder music."
