It's going to get wild and woolly at Thanksgiving Point on Saturday.
Well, it's going to get woolly.
Thanksgiving Point in Lehi is hosting the Lamb & Wool Festival at Farm Country, a chance for kids to see where their sweaters came from. Farmers will demonstrat the old-fashioned way of shearing sheep; there will be weaving and spinning demonstrations and kids will get a chance to play with both wool and lambs.
After they're done petting the lambs, the youngsters and the not-so-youngsters can try their hand at making wool hacky sacks, wool bracelets, wool soap and solar-dyed wool. In addition, there will be pony and wagon rides and storytelling.
