I like Community. I really do. But I think it's best taken in small doses.

So airing three original episodes in the space of four hours (7, 8 and 8:30 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5) doesn't seem like the best of scheduling options.

First, the group tries to save Pierce's inheritance. Then the group plots to infiltrate the campus. Finally, Jeff squares off against Alan (Rob Corddry), his former colleague, in Greendale Summer Fun Court - the season finale.

The show's ratings are still weak, but it did get picked up for next season. And it's being shipped off to Fridays.

Ah, well. At least "Community" won't get its butt kicked by "Two and a Half Men" anymore.
