Monday on TV in Utah: "Everybody Dies" on "House" finale

House signs off tonight (7 and 8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13), and the title of the final episode is sort of interesting.

The first hour is a retrospective of the series to date. The second hour is the finale, titled "Everybody Dies."

Clearly, every character in the show isn't going to die during the episode. But, just as clearly, everybody dies. As do all TV shows. Eventually.

There's no reason to mourn the passing of "House." Eight seasons and 176 episodes is a great run. And, obviously, there weren't a whole lot of new ideas bursting forth from the minds of the show's writers.

Did "House" hang on too long? Subjectively - yes. At least one season too long. And that's being kind.

At any rate, "House" fans can celebrate the series tonight. Even though "Everybody Dies."

The Secret Life of the American Teenager (9 and 11 p.m., ABC Family): A rumor about Anne is spreading.
