The Cantina Southwestern Grill, which specializes in Southwest and Tex-Mex cuisine, opened its second Utah restaurant last week in Jordan Commons, 75 E. 9400 South, in Sandy.

Located in the two-story building formerly occupied by Spaghetti Mama's, it is open daily at 11 a.m.

Just like the original location in Layton, the menu includes a variety of combination platters, Mexican entrees as well as steak and seafood offerings. There is a free salsa bar with seven different salsas from mild to hot. Entree prices range from $8 to $16. Kids meals are also available.

The Margarita bar features large-screen televisions and offers $2 Margaritas on Mondays and $2.50 draft beers on Tuesdays.

It's owned by Hersh Ipaktchian, the founder of Iggy's Sports Grills.
