Four courses for $40 at Zy

Zy Food Wine & Cheese in Salt Lake City is offering a special four-course tasting menu called "Square Meals."

This daily dinner option includes a starter, a fish course, a meat course and dessert or cheese plate. Cost is $40 per person, optional wine pairings are an additional $15. The only catch: to enjoy the tasting, everyone at the table must participate.

Chef Matthew Lake will change the menu daily, but here's a sample of his first menu:

Starter • sweet corn puree with smoked Maine lobster

Fish • Hawaiian swordfish, spiced pineapple glaze , shaved asparagus and applewood bacon

Meat • Snake River Farms Wagu pillow steak, with roasted eggplant and pickled shiitake mushrooms

Dessert • upside-down cheesecake, fresh berries macerated in house-made pear vinegar and ginger crumble.
