Breaking Pointe (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30) is about ballet. Specifically, it's about Ballet West right here in Salt Lake City.

But it's not what you might expect. This six-episode documentary series shows us what it's like to be a ballet dancer, and it's not easy. You have to be a great athlete. More often tha not, you have to survive and overcome injuries. You have to be highly competitive.

The folks at Ballet West are clearly hoping this raises the profile of the company. But they're doing so by opening themselves up to a national television audience.

They're a brave bunch.

Elsewhere on TV ...

Duets (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): The singers perform classic duets with their amateur partners.

Touch (7 and 8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): The final two episodes of the first season. Astonishingly, it has been renewed for a second season and will move to Fridays this fall.

Men at Work (8 p.m., TBS): Milo and Gibbs are interested in the same woman, and she's interested in both of them. Classy.

Rookie Blue (9 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Teens steal a police car as a prank.

Mountain Men (11 p.m., History): This is a reality series about folks who live in the wild. It's sort of a hillbilly double bill, following Swamp People (10 p.m., History) on the schedule.
