Intermountain Harley-Davidson and the Muscular Dystrophy Association sponsored the 61st Annual Wendover MDA Ride on Sunday.
Chrome and leather converged in what organizers say is the biggest motorcycle ride in Utah and one of the largest rides in the nation. Ride organizers hoped to raise $100,000 for MDA programs and services in Utah.
Riders left Sunday morning from Salt Lake City Harley-Davidson, 2928 State St., and ended at the Peppermill Hotel and Casino in Wendover, Nev.
One of the services that MDA provides locally is an opportunity for children ages 6-17 to attend an ability-focused, week-long summer camp. It costs $800 to send each child for a week. MDA also maintains a clinic for area adults and children affected by neuromuscular diseases at University of Utah Medical Center.
