Griff McNabb, a 5-foot-7 junior walk-on receiver who returned punts for the Utes in 2011, has decided to transfer to SUU. McNabb was given the role of returner in 2011 when Charles Henderson suffered a season-ending injury and played in 12 games. He ranked 34th nationally averaging 7.5 yards per return. He finished with 22 returns for 166 yards, including a 31-yarder in the fourth quarter against Georgia Tech in the Sun Bowl which set up the game-tying touchdown. He also had two catches for 13 yards during the season. McNabb said in a statement he was grateful for the Utes since they gave him a chance to play, but believes he will have more chances at SUU. "I feel that with my size and the level of competition that Utah is playing now, I'd have a better chance to pursue my goals and dreams at SUU," he said. McNabb redshirted in 2009 and had two catches for eight yards and three punt returns for 22 yards in 2010. - Lya Wodraska
