I was at a wedding in Chicago last weekend, and had a great time hanging out with friends and seeing a good friend get hitched. The food was good, the dessert table was good, the venue was spectacular, and the gift bags were great after a night of drinking at 2 a.m.
One quibble I had was with the D.J., who played Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" not just once but TWICE even though the bride was a Cubs fan and the groom was a Brewer fan. In addition, I know the groom was a 311 fan, but did there have to be three 311 songs played during the reception? Talk about a dance-floor clearer.
And no Kanye!
Every wedding should play Kanye:
