A man wearing an elaborate disguise — which included a fake beard and a motorcycle helmet with visor — robbed the Chase Bank in Draper on Thursday morning, police reported.

The robber showed the teller a note and the teller gave him approximately $5,000 in cash, police said.

In addition to the black/gray beard, which extended to mid-chest, the man wore sunglasses, a black nylon motorcycle jacket with padded elbows, shoulders and spine protector, and thick heavy gloves.

Despite the camouflage, the teller was able to describe the robber as a Caucasian in his mid-30s to early 40s, who was 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 tall.

He was last seen walking eastbound from the bank, which is located at 252 E. 12300 South.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have been in the area and witnessed anything between 9:20 and 9:30 a.m., is asked to contact Draper City Police at 801-840-4000.
