The Utah Utes will get to be the test case for the new Pac-12 Network, but an early kickoff time might not make Utah fans happy. Utah's season opener against Northern Colorado on Aug. 30 will be the first football game televised by the new network, but a kickoff set for 5:15 p.m. could make it difficult for fans who follow normal working hours to make it to Rice-Eccles Stadium in time for kickoff, unless they cut out of work early in celebration of the start of the football season. However, the early start time allowed for a doubleheader with Arizona State and Northern Arizona kicking off at 8:30 p.m. Utah athletic director Chris Hill said class schedules won't be disrupted on game day and parking will be made available to students and faculty on the grass fields off Mario Cappechi Drive. The start times for other games were announced as well with the Utah-Utah STate game kicking off at 6 p.m., the BYU game on Sept. 15 will kick off at 8 p.m., the Utah-USC game will kick off at 7 p.m. and the Utah-Colorado game will kickoff at 1 p.m. The Pac-12 Network will launch on Aug. 15 and consists of one national and six regional networks.2012 Utah Football ScheduleAug. 30 (Thu.)
