A woman in West Valley City said her husband put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her if "she didn't drop divorce papers," according to a report filed with the Salt Lake County jail.

The episode happened late Saturday. After pointing the gun, the woman stated that her husband detained her in the home and walked around holding a pistol, the report says.

When police arrived, the suspect exited the house with a black air gun that had no toy identifiers, police wrote. No other guns were found in the home.

The husband was being held at the jail Monday without bail on suspicion of kidnapping and assault.
