Body found near Jordan River Parkway

A dead man found in the Jordan River on Wednesday morning has been identified as 46-year-old Francisco Perez Cruz.

Jason Asay, spokesman for the Salt Lake City Fire Department, said they were called at about 8:40 a.m. to 1300 W. 300 North to assist in removing the body from the water.

No other information about how the man died, or how his body was found, were available Wednesday.
