Utah State forwards Quincy Bair and Marvin Jean underwent surgery for seperate issues within hours of one another.

Bair, last night, was treated at Logan Hospital for an emergency appendectomy, while Jean had surgery this morning to repair a torn ligament in his thumb, the product of it being jammed during a recent pick-up game.

Bair is fine, and should have no issues with his recovery. He is expected to be sidelined for about a month. Jean's prognosis isn't yet clear, but he's not expected to miss the beginning of the upcoming season.

Utah State has gone through a number of ailments this summer. Besides Bair and Jean, Jarred Shaw has gone through foot issues, and Sean Harris is not yet recovered from a torn ACL.
