So far, the floods have been kinder to Utah than the fires.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning Sunday for southwestern Carbon County and northwestern Emery County, but law enforcement reported no significant problems. Mud and debris ran across State Road 31 on Saturday after a quarter inch of rain fell, but the road was not obstructed. The Seeley Fire has burned along SR 31 and destroyed vegetation that would help prevent flooding.

Starting Monday, the state will see a warming trend. Salt Lake City temperatures will be in the upper 90s on Monday and into the 100s on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. St. George will reach 108 on Monday and remain near there for most of the week.
