Milford's Rusty Wright capped off a week of competition at the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyo., by earning the national title in saddle bronc riding.

The event fields were whittled down after two go-rounds, with the finalists competing in a third round Saturday and the champions being determined by overall score or time.

The saddle bronc competition effectively came down to a pair of Utahns — Wright and Beaver's CoBurn Bradshaw.

Wright turned in a 76 on Saturday for a total of 227 points, while Bradshaw's final-round score of 74 earned him 213 total points and second place.
