Utah State will be without several members of its offensive and defensive lines heading into Friday's practice.

Defensive end BJ Larsen has mono and will probably not be available until next week. Eric Bernston, a freshman defensive end, is done for the season after having leg surgery.

Bryce Walker is finished for a month with a broken leg. Bill Vavau is still finishing up academic work at Snow College.

Each of the four were expected to play, with Walker and Bernston both having decent shots to crack the starting lineup.

It all means that the offensive and defensive lines will be at a depth disadvantage when practice starts on Friday.

"We've brought in a few more players, and I feel better about the defensive line than I did during the spring," USU head coach Gary Andersen said. "We still think we're going to be alright."

Utah State's big question is whether those two units can hold up. If they can, the Aggies could have a big season, with the talent and speed they enjoy almost everywhere else.
