Saltair usually isn't associated with Christianity. If given the choice, it probably wouldn't eat at Chik-Fil-A.

However, a benefit concert for the Utah Food Bank with a variety of Christrian music will be held August 25 at Saltair at 7 p.m.

Country-gospel artist Genevia Johnson (above) will share the stage with local favorites Markilo Allen (a Contemporary Christian artist and Katie Ainge, a Christian pop artist)

There will also be a guest performance from the Pioneer Valley Chamber Ensemble.

Attendees are asked donate a can of food to the concert.

Tickets are available at SmithsTix.com. Prices are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door.

Saltair is located at 12408 West Saltair Drive Magna.

The benefit is sponsored by The Utah Food Bank, Sanctified Heart Ministries, Power Media Entertainment, and Godfather's Pizza.
