Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. Davis County Commission • Will consider an ordinance to establish a count ethics committee, and will also discuss several contracts, including the relocating of all voting machines and election equipment to the county's new Administration Building, Aug. 28; Tuesday, 10 a.m., 28 E. Lindon Planning Commission • A continued public hearing to review an animal ordinance amendment to help clarify the current language and also a review of the current allotted amounts of animals permitted within specific lot sizes; Tuesday, Aug. 28, 7 p.m., 100 N. State St.

Midvale City Council • Will hold public hearings on various land use issues and will also discuss financial policies and the city's noise ordinance, Aug. 28; Tuesday, 7 p.m., Council Chambers, 655 W. Center St., Midvale. View the Midvale agenda.

Ogden City Council • Will hold a public hearing on $4.5 million in Ogden Canyon waterline bonds and their impact on the private sector, to be followed by a vote; will also consider ordinance to clarify definition of accessory dwelling units; will also consider appointment of new City Recorder, Aug. 28; Tuesday, 6 p.m., 3rd floor Council Chambers, 2549 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
