Great stand-up comic Anthony Jeselnik in Utah this weekend

One of my favorite comics. Anthony Jeselnik, will be headlining Wiseguys in West Valley City (2194 W. 3500 South. West Valley City) at 7:30 and 9:30 on Friday and Saturday nights, with tickets $20 at www.wiseguyscomedy.com

This is what I wrote about him last year:

If you've seen Anthony Jeselnik roasting Charlie Sheen or Donald Trump on Comedy Central or YouTube, you might assume he is a really mean guy. During Sheen's roast, Jeselnik's most print-friendly joke was, "The only reason you got on TV in the first place is because God hates Michael J. Fox." (Sheen replaced Fox on the sitcom "Spin City" in 2000.) But offstage, "People are pleasantly surprised that I'm nice," Jeselnik said in a recent Tribune interview. His onstage persona is a mean-spirited, arrogant misanthrope, but it's just "a suit I wear," he said. After shows, audience members have told Jeselnik that he just says what's on everyone's mind. Jeseknik's response: "If you're thinking that, you're a horrible person." Jeselnik's dry delivery relies on one-liners. His inspiration came from the concise "Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey," which he always thought was the funniest part of "Saturday Night Live." This will be the rising star's first stand-up performance in Utah.

And here's Jeselnik. Remember, he's not for everybody:
