Salt Lake City police on Monday were investigating who shot a 31-year-old man in the leg.

Police said relatives took the man to a hospital for treatment about 10 p.m. Friday after he suffered a gunshot wound to the leg at a residence in the 600 South block of Pueblo Street (1440 West).

Police said the victim refused to tell them what happened, but when officers went to the home, they found a 24-year-old trying to wash away blood. Police said the man's story didn't match the evidence.

The 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of obstruction of justice. Officers said the investigation was ongoing.
