Information sessions set for Goldman Sachs small-business program

Business owners interested in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program at Salt Lake Community College can attend an information session at the Miller Campus from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Sept. 14,

Owners who want to apply for a spot in the program can attend any of four workshops at the Miller (9750 S. 300 West in Sandy) and Library Square (231 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City) campuses. The sessions will focus on best ways to fill out applications for the program.

Application workshops will be presented at:

• Miller Campus, Miller Corporate Partnership Center, Room 333, 6-8 p.m., Thursday

• Library Square Campus, Room 111, 6-8 p.m., Sept. 6

• Miller Campus, Miller Corporate Partnership Center, Room 330, 6-8 p.m., Sept. 20

• Library Square Campus, Room 111, 6-8 p.m., Sept. 27

Goldman Sachs has developed an instructional and mentoring program for owners whose businesses have survived the start-up phase. Applicants accepted into the program will receive scholarships that allow them to attend without cost.

The program starts Jan. 11. Participants will get business management instruction, support services such as advice and networking clinics, and access to capital.
