O.A.R. performs this coming weekend in Utah.Montage Deer Valley will premiere its first Concert in the Sky, with bands O.A.R. and Guster both sharing the outdoor stage on the resort's Grand Lawn. Rock band O.A.R. is a road warrior, and is touring behind its 2011 album "King." The band is remarkable for its longevity, with four of the members from the same middle and high schools in Ohio and the fifth joined the band in 1997 when all five were students at The Ohio State University. "I can't imagine being in a different band," said Richard On, lead guitarist for the band. "It's such a foreign thing for me, [to be] playing in different bands." The band's most recent exposure came from a song called "Champions" that was part of Duracell's support for Team USA at the Summer Olympics. Rapper B.o.B. contributed vocals to the song, which isn't as jarring as you might think. "We're all hip-hop fans," On said. And while he is a fan of the USA basketball team, On said the 2012 team was "not better than the [original] Dream Team, no matter what Kobe says." Ohio State fans know their sports.
