Pat Bagley is "right on" in his selection of topics, especially for Utah. I liked his Aug. 20 cartoon: "The solution to obesity: supersize. The solution to tobacco related illness: smoke more. The solution to gun violence: more guns." Sad truths for us all. The cartoon showed the pockets of a National Rifle Association man being stuffed with money from gun manufacturers. Also true.

Draper now has the distinction of having one of its newest businesses be a gun shop. The window shows a silhouette of an assault rifle and a message that it sells them.

This is next door to a family pizza restaurant, which is next to a family ice-cream store.

Someone is off the mark on what is acceptable in a family-oriented shopping center.
