A wet weekend, flooding potential, ahead for Utah

Thunderstorms and rain, heavy at times, was expected to continue this the weekend throughout Utah.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for much of the state through Saturday night. The advisory covered an area stretching from Provo in the north and running south to Nephi, Price, Milford, Green River, St. George and Zion National Park.

Air quality was rated at "Green," or healthy statewide, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality.

Salt Lake City was forecast for a high temperature of 83 Saturday and 84 on Sunday; Ogden expected readings of 81 and 82 degrees, respectively; Provo 84 and 86; Logan 80 and 83; Wendover 84 and 85; Duchesne 78 and 81; Cedar City 81 and 84; St. George 90 and 96; and Moab 90 degrees both days.
