The updated depth chart released Monday by the University of Utah football program lists Jon Hays and freshman Travis Wilson as possible starters for Saturday's home game against BYU. Junior starter Jordan Wynn injured his shoulder Friday in the first half of a 27-20 loss to Utah State.

Coach Kyle Whittingham will likely give more insight on Wynn's status at his noon press conference at the University.

If Wynn is indeed out for the BYU game it's not much of a surprise. He was on the Romney Stadium sideline in a sling. After having surgery on that left shoulder less than a year ago, it makes sense to take any recovery slowly. However, the absence of Wynn from the depth chart does not necessarily mean that he will not play. It's normal for the program to keep injured players off the depth chart at the beginning of the week.

Wynn was just 6-of-11 for 47 yards before being replaced by Hays for the final series of the first half. Despite showing up to fall game in good shape with more muscle packed around his frame, he struggled in each of his first two starts. Even in a 41-0 blowout win against Northern Colorado Wynn wasn't sharp, completing 19-of-27 passes for 200 yards with an interception.
