Ogden seeks to even title series

Ogden threatened late but wound up on the losing end of a 4-3 score to open the Pioneer League Championship Series against Missoula on Tuesday.

Now, the Southern Division champion Raptors will send right-hander Lindsey Caughel, 3-2 in 2012 with a 3.38 ERA, to the mound in an effort to even the best-of-three series, which resumes at 7:05 p.m. Thursday at Lindquist Field in Ogden. Game 3, if necessary, will also be played at Lindquist Field.

The Osprey will counter with Ross Gerdeman, who was 5-5 this season for the Northern Division champions. Ogden stranded runners in the final three innings, including the tying run.
