Wildfire burning near Fairview

A wildfire burning east of Fairview in Sanpete County was contained Saturday night after burning 75 acres.

Emergency dispatchers in Richfield said volunteer firefighters were fighting the blaze, which started Saturday afternoon. Nearby Highway 31 was closed part of the day but has since been reopened.

Fairview was one of the Sanpete County towns evacuated during the Wood Hollow Fire in June, which one man. The Wood Hollow Fire destroyed 52 homes and 108 outbuildings.
