Re "Brigham City, church reach deal in speech dispute at Mormon temple" (Tribune, Sept. 14):
Why is it that when Christians want to exercise their First Amendment rights and defend themselves from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' claim that it is the only true church, they are met with resistance from the local government? But when 60,000 LDS missionaries go into the local neighborhoods across the world to spread their message that the LDS Church is the only true church on the Earth, they are free to roam through the neighborhoods with few restrictions.
If the Christians are limited to how many of them are allowed to hand out information on the public sidewalks, maybe there should be restrictions on how many missionaries are allowed per square mile in the United States.
