It is the 50th anniversary of James Bond, so there is an upcoming symphonic concert to celebrate him.

The West Valley Symphony of Utah with Music Director Donny Gilbert will perform "Music to Spy By" on Saturday, October 13 at 7:30 pm.

The performance will be held at the Granger High School Auditorium (3690 S. 3600 W., West Valley City). A few of the spy themes featured in this evening of music include: "Mission Impossible," by Lalo Schiffrin, "Goldfinger," by the late John Barry, and "Thunderball," also by John Barry, and many others. The West Valley Symphony was founded in 1990 and recently complete its 20th season in 2010. It is an all-volunteer orchestra of nearly 80 musicians.

The orchestra was featured this past summer, performing with the Choral Arts Society of Utah at the 65th annual Days of '47 Pops Concert at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, and is scheduled to perform again for the KUTV Holiday Pops Concert on December 8th 2012 at Cottonwood High School. Tickets are available at the door, with a suggested donation of $5.
