Prosecutors have filed more charges in connection with the death of Salt Lake City teenager Kenyatta Winston.

Shelby Glenda Reed, 19, was charged Thursday in 3rd District Court with obstructing justice for allegedly lying to police about having information about the death and later helping to clean up a motel room "to get rid of evidence that would link Winston and others to the motel room."

Reed is one of three people charged thus far with obstruction in connection with the case.

On Tuesday, 38-year-old Jessica Reyos made her first court appearance on charges of lying to police about the name of a man to whom she loaned the car in which Winston was last seen riding.

Winston was fatally shot Aug. 29, and his body was found in a vacant Sugar House lot, near 1120 E. Crandall Ave. (about 2900 South). Police have arrested Reyos' brother, 30-year-old Frank Reyos, in connection with the slaying, but formal charges have yet to be filed against the man.

Brittney Montano, 21, has been charged with obstructing the service of a board of pardons warrant for allegedly helping Frank Reyos flee from police.

Also on Thursday, additional charges were filed against David Angel Montes, 21, who already has been charged with felony obstruction.

Police say Montes was with Frank Reyos when he shot the 16-year-old Winston, and later helped dumped the teen's body.

When police arrested him Sept. 15, he was driving a stolen Honda Accord, according to new charges filed Thursday. Police also found marijuana and a .25-caliber semiautomatic pistol in the car, charges state.
