Salt Lake County rescuers were trying Thursday night to help two climbers off Storm Mountain.
A 23-year-old hiker and 31-year-old hiker fell while descending the mountain near dark. The younger one wasn't seriously injured, but the older hiker was, said Kris Ownby, Salt Lake County's captain of special operations.
The older hiker's injuries are probably not life-threatening, Ownby added.
As of 9:20 p.m., rescuers had found the hikers and were trying to stabilize the older hiker before helping the two down the mountain. The pair were about a half hour's hike from the road.
The Salt Lake Tribune will update this story as more information is available.
