While reading David Newlin's op-ed (July 8), I was struck by his statement (among many others) that no corporate executives want fair wages and good working conditions for their employees. Does he really believe this? Or is he just trying fuel the fire of revolution he's trying to light?
I know personally many business owners who go way beyond regulatory requirements to ensure satisfied employees (often described to me as their number-one asset). In addition, it's pretty well documented in many business journals how many of the top running businesses pay very close attention to training, paying fairly and creating incredibly nice working conditions for their employees.
How does Mr. Newlin think he will effect any change without recognizing the much good that exists among his so-called elite?
