Ben McAdams will make a difference as Salt Lake County mayor. His record speaks for itself. In 2011, the Legislature passed 11 of his bills.

To say he is proactive is an understatement. McAdams' distinctive quality is his ability to work across party lines to do what is right, a rare gift. When a candidate with such qualities is running, grasp the opportunity with both hands.

The word coalition is used often by McAdams; it describes his actions and intent in every sense of the word. McAdams is supported by Democrats, Republicans and independents. Seven Republican mayors from across the valley formed the Republicans for Ben Committee.

When leaders of the opposing party go out of their way to show support, that candidate must be pretty remarkable.
