Recalls for baby bathers, 2012 Honda Pilots and 2012 Acura MDX

The following products and vehicles were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Unless otherwise indicated, discontinue use of the products immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund. For more information about the products, call the manufacturer or CPSC's toll-free hotline, 800-638-2772. Only some cars or trucks recalled are affected. Contact a dealer for your model to see if it is included in the recall. The dealer will tell you what to do.

Product • Mother's Touch Deluxe Baby Bathers

Problem • When the bather is lifted and/or carried with an infant in it, its folding wire frame can suddenly disengage from the side hinge, posing a fall hazard and a risk of serious head injury to infants. Consumers should immediately stop using the bathers and contact Summer Infant for a free repair kit that includes a locking strap and instructions. Even with the new locking strap installed, the baby bather product should never be used to lift and carry an infant. For additional information, contact Summer Infant at 800-426-8627 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, or visit the company's website at www.summerinfant.com/batherrepairkit. Do not return to stores because retailers will not have the repair kit.

Vehicles • Honda Pilot 2012, Acura MDX 2012

Problem • The vent shut float valve case in the fuel tank assembly does not meet the design specifications. This poses a fire hazard. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the VSF assembly date and, if necessary, replace the fuel tank assembly for free. The recall began March 13.
