Utah's Monument Valley is depicted on a sheet of 15 new postage stamps representing the nation's diverse landscapes.
The stamps will be available nationwide beginning Monday, the U.S. Postal Service said in a news release.
The Monument Valley image depicts fog rolling in and around Stagecoach Butte, according to the release. Snow dusts the butte's crest.
"Utah is the most photogenic state of the continental United States," Jim Wark of Pueblo, Colo., said in the release. Wark took the photo that appears on the stamp, along with photos that appear on four other stamps on the sheet.
The new stamp sheet includes examples of natural, agricultural and urban earthscapes.
The release said each earthscape was photographed high above the planet's surface, either snapped by "eyes in the sky" satellites orbiting the Earth or carefully composed by photographers in aircraft.
This is not the first time a scene from Utah's picturesque landscape has been on a U.S. stamp. The first recorded image from the Beehive State was in 1934 and portrayed the Great White Throne at Zion National Park.
Other natural landmarks in Utah to be depicted on a stamp include Delicate Arch, the Wall of Windows and Bryce Amphitheater at Bryce Canyon National Park and Rainbow Bridge.
