TV review: "The Neighbors" is really weird, kind of fun

The Neighbors (Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4) is ridiculous, goofy, bizarre and utterly outrageous.

I kind of like it. At least, I kind of like the first couple of episodes.

Marty Weaver (Lenny Venito) gets a great deal on a house in a gated New Jersey community. But when he moves in with wife Debbie (Jami Gertz) and their three kids, they discover the neighbors are odd.

Because they're aliens. From outer space. Who have assumed human form (for the most part). And they don't really get human behavior.

There are some very funny sight gags in "Neighbors." But you can't use the same sight gags more than once, so - even if you like this show you've got to wonder how long it will hold up.

My guess is - not long.

But for a couple of episodes, at least, it's kind of fun.
