Davis, Calif. • Dalton Turay's three second-quarter touchdowns is all UC Davis needed to gain momentum in a 37-13 victory Saturday over Weber State.
Turay's eight carries for 32 yards wasn't spectacular but the Aggies defense was, holding Weber State to 6 of 15 third-down conversions while forcing three interceptions, two of which came from Byron Gruendl, and two fumbles.
It was the Aggies' first Big Sky Conference home game in program history, and their first win in the new conference. UC Davis (2-3, 1-1 Big Sky) was a perfect five-for-five in the red zone against the Wildcats.
Erik Walker for Weber State (0-4, 0-2) had three catches for 88 yards and a touchdown.
