A 30-year-old Salt Lake City man who was struck by a car after he allegedly tried to beat a red light on his bicycle last week remained in critical condition Monday, police say.
Witnesses told police that the man was weaving through cars stopped at a red light on 200 South Sept. 27 when he went through the intersection at 300 West. A car that had a green light hit the cyclist.
The bicyclist's vital signs had been stabilized and he was eventually expected to recover, police said.
