Real Salt Lake midfielder Luis Gil has been named to the U.S. Under-20 National Team roster for duty in international contests through mid-October.

The team announced Monday that Gil will report to the U-20 team after RSL's Oct. 6 game against the L.A. Galaxy. He'll compete in friendlies against Canada, Scotland and Azerbaijan and play in the Marbella Cup in Spain.

The 18-year-old is being called up for the third time this season, but this is the first time he will participate.

Gil has played in 26 MLS games, scored one goal and added three assists this year for RSL.
