In "Keep checks coming" (Forum, Oct. 1), Darrel Manning is concerned about all the "vote-buying," "cradle-to-grave caretaker government" programs that get people to "vote Democrat to keep the assistance checks coming."
Why pick on the poor? Manning should look at all the corporate welfare government programs and tax write-offs that keep the campaign donation checks flowing to politicians.
