With two scholarships left to fill for next season, Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak hopes he's close to handing one out.

The Utes will host Michael Williams on an official visit beginning Thursday, the Salt Lake Tribune has learned.

Utah has extended a formal offer to Williams, a 6-foot-2 point guard out of San Antonio's Reagan High.

Williams, according to Rivals.com, holds nine offers, with Nebraska, Colorado State and Creighton being amongst the schools competing for his services.

Williams is ranked amongst the top 20 prospects in Texas. He's the highest rated recruit from the San Antonio area. Rivals ranks him as a three-star prospect.

Utah has Parker Van Dyke from East High and Brandon Miller from Brighton amongst their instate recruits for next season. Both of them are combination guards.
