Why LDS on front page?

Re "Church lowers mission age" (Tribune, Oct. 7):

Really? Only in Utah would it be front-page banner headline news that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints lowered the age for its missionaries.

As fascinating as this may or may not be, I fail to see how it warrants being on the front page. It would have been more appropriate on the front page of the Faith section.

I'm not really surprised; after all, that's just life behind the "Zion curtain."
