Rescuers were trying to reach two teenage boys who were stranded on a cliff late Monday in Provo Canyon.

The boys, 16 and 17, had been hiking between Canyon Glen and Nuns Park about 10 miles into the canyon when they got stuck on a ledge 300 to 400 feet up the mountainside, said Utah County sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon. They called for help about 9 p.m., Cannon said.

Crews expected to complete the rescue around midnight, Cannon said.
