Salt Lake County's Unified Fire Authority cut the ribbon Tuesday on its relocated Big Cottonwood Canyon Fire Station.

Station No. 108 is now about 14 miles up the canyon from the intersection of Wasatch Boulevard and Ft. Union Boulevard (7200 South), just before the Guardsman Pass turnoff.

The previous and much smaller station was located farther up the road at Brighton.
