The Northridge Knights prevailed in the first round of the 5A soccer tournament, getting a 3-2 by-the-skin-of-their-teeth double-overtime victory against Taylorsville on the road.
Rachel Trommlitz was a hero for the Knights, scoring a sliding goal right up against the edge of regulation that tied the game and forced overtime. She was also in on the play when Dusty Taylor shot the game-winner just seconds away from a shootout.
