Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter will be this year's recipients of funds generated by sales of reduced-price, early-season lift tickets in Park City Mountain Resort's 10th annual Benefit Days program.

The $25 tickets go on sale Monday and are valid from opening day to Dec. 16. Tickets may be purchased (no more than four per person) at the resort's services office, Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, Jans and Cole Sport shops in Park City and Sports Den in Salt Lake City.

Jenni Smith, resort president and general manager, said Swaner Preserve was selected because of its "commitment to preserving the Park City area's natural resources and educating the community on the importance of that preservation."

The donation will be used to support community education programs for children and adults, said Sally Tauber, Swaner Preserve's director of business development.

Since Benefits Day was created in 2003, Park City Mountain Resort has raised more than $500,000 for Park City-area nonprofits, Smith said, adding that the resort will sell additional discounted tickets to benefit those organizations.
