Hornok wins inaugural Utah Marathon

Salt Lake City's Nathan Hornok won the inaugural Utah Marathon by more than 10 minutes Saturday.

The 34-year-old Hornok covered the 26.2 miles in 2 hours, 38 minutes, 52 seconds.

Steve Cuttitta of Heber was second in 2:49:52.

Sarah Labass of Simi Valley, Calif., was the first female finisher, crossing the line in 3:20:46, while Salt Lake City's Meredith Sinclair was second in 3:25:45.

There were 188 runners who completed the marathon, which started and ended in downtown Salt Lake City. —
